The Red Lake Waste Disposal Site (WDS) is a municipally operated Landfill located on Highway 125 between Red Lake and Balmertown. Various types of refuse are accepted, but some items may require an additional fee in addition to the standard disposal fee.
Curbside collection requires garbage bags be tagged with a valid municipal bag tag. Bag tags are available for sale at the Municipal Office in Balmertown, the Waste Disposal site, TJ's Kwik Stop, Mitchel's Midtown, Diane's Gas Bar, and Red Lake Community Centre. The current cost of tags is listed in Section 'O' of the Schedule of Fees.
