The Municipality of Red Lake is currently accepting applications for the following position:

Mechanic

Reporting to the Infrastructure Development Coordinator the Mechanic will work 40 hours per week on a regular Monday to Friday shift.

The Municipality offers a competitive wage with an excellent benefit package, which includes family coverage for medical, dental and more, along with membership in the OMERS Pension Plan.

The Mechanic is responsible for maintenance of the light and heavy equipment owned and/or operated by the Municipality of Red Lake. The Mechanic must have Truck and Coach Technician Qualification and a minimum of two (2) years experience.

The Corporation of the Municipality of Red Lake is seeking eight candidates to fill our summer labourer positions.

Summer Labourer - $20.06 per hour

 These positions will consist of 40 hours of work per week and will operate on a 4/3 schedule.

Duties include but are not limited to: mowing, beautification, and general facilities tasks.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Must be returning to secondary or post-secondary school in the fall
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Be self-motivated, punctual and energetic
  • Ability to work outdoors in a wide variety of weather conditions
  • Class G2 or G drivers licence is an asset
