The Municipality is seeking an individual to fill the position of Municipal Treasurer.
Reporting directly to the CAO, the Treasurer be responsible for the overall management of the financial affairs for the Municipality. As part of the Senior Management Team, the Treasurer will be an engaged and active participant on the development of various policies, initiatives, and strategic investments that enhance the organizational well-being of the Municipality and quality of life in Red Lake.
The position is responsible for performing the statutory duties of the Treasurer for the Municipality of Red Lake; and for providing advice on fiscal, financial and accounting matters to the Chief Administrative Officer and Council all statutory and custodial matters affecting the finances of the Municipality.
The preferred candidate will hold a post-secondary degree in business finance or related financial field, an accounting designation and a minimum of five (5) years of managerial and supervisory experience. Municipal Treasury experience will be considered an asset.
